Wedding Exit Ideas
After many months of planning, your wedding day has come and gone. It the evening now and the party is winding down as the festivities are coming to a close. People are infected with celebratory cheers, romance, and happiness for you and your partner. What better way to close out a party then end it with an exciting exit! Here are some of our favorite ways to make an exit! :)
The Sparkler Exit: This now classic exit is perfect for photos. It really adds a bit of magic to the evening as guests form a tunnel of light for you to exit the night and enter into your newlywed life together. However, make sure your venue allows it! Some restrict the use of these (typically with more rural/countryside venues) because of the fire hazard.
Flower Petals/Confetti: Most venues do not allow confetti at events because of the clean-up headache. One way to get around this is to have your guest throw flower petals, bird food, or other organic confetti. This is real fun for guests and one way to make it even more engaging is to have your guest create their own confetti mixes. You can set up a table full of different types of flower petals such as dried rose petals, lavender, rosemary, or leaf confetti and let them combine it in little bags for the big exit!
Bubble Exit: This quirky exit is perfect for a daytime/early evening wedding. You’ll want to see the bubbles flying around so morning, noon, or dusk is a perfect time to put them on display. Hand out bubble containers to your guests and put on a machine as you exit the wedding day. This is also a great way to exit the ceremony space after you exchange vows.
LED Balloons Exit: If your venue doesn’t allow sparklers but you still want to light up the night, then we recommend using LED balloons! You can find a pack of these for relatively cheap online. Its a fun and unique wedding exit, though please do not do a balloon release photo op. It may look cool, but its very bad for the environment and leaves a major clean-up to the venue.
Rave Lights/Fiber Optic Wands: Like to party, we recommend using rave lights or fiber optic wands! Have your guest jump and wave them around as you exit into the night. You can even ask your photographer to use a long exposure for some festive shots like you see above.
Streamers/Poppers: Similar to confetti, not a lot of venues will allow streamers or poppers, but you never know where you will get lucky! Because it contains longer pieces, you may be able to get away with it. Give guests a little popper to release as you and your partner walk down the aisle to wedded bliss.
Fireworks: If you’ve got the cash, then go big or go home! This is an enchanting and extraordinary way to end your night. Adults and kids alike will love the colorful fireworks bringing your wedding day to a close in a big way.
