V & H’s Victorian Inspired Wedding
V & H’s wedding was set at the Whitfield Chapel just outside the gorgeous city of Savannah, GA. This Victorian inspired wedding day was full of quaint little details and gentle nods to the past while also blending modern features and music. (Hello, the bride & groom had a karaoke session at the end of the night singing Taylor Swift and Elton John!) Both of them have a love of theater and the groom works for the Historical Society of Georgia. He knows all things about early Georgian history (the state and the time period, lol). The bride donned a gorgeous ball gown and clary floral crown reminiscent of Queen Victoria herself. The groom wore his Victorian suit and top hat to match with their guests also dressed in black tie or Dickensian/Southern Belle inspired garb.
After the ceremony, the group moved location to the Whitman Inn just off Forsyth Park in Savannah’s city centre. There, the family dined banquet style under the stars complimented by the flickering candles and fresh ivory & blush wedding flowers which provided a lovely scent and look to late-fall evening. The family ate, drank, danced, and sang under the November moon. It was romantic, classy, and very Moonbeam!
